Brule river fishing report 9/20/2023
The River Was around 145cfs when we fished earlier this week. There was definitely some fresh fish in the system, most of which we hooked were very fired up and large chrome steelhead! We saw some kings rolling around and lake run brown trout. We did come across a couple Spawning Redds (fish reproduction beds for trout and salmon). Look for the polished gravel and avoid fishing that area or walking on them. Support the natural reproduction we have in the beautiful Brule River!
Focus your efforts on fishing the darker deeper water. Moving around to different landings can help you locate fish. Be courteous of others fishing the river, we have lots of miles of river to fish, always ask first before just hopping in next to a fellow angler, or move to a different run.
I have some openings for guided steelhead yet for October and early November. Indicator fishing and spey casting, Instruction and gear is included.
