Guided City Fishing (within the twin cities metro area)
This trip is designed for the beginner to intermediate level fly angler. These trips can be tailored to “check the box” for whatever you’re looking to accomplish. Whether it is learning how to cast a fly rod, learning new techniques, catch your first fish on the fly, target carp on the fly, explore what the fisheries in our backyards have to offer, practice for an upcoming fly fishing trip out west, learn to spey cast, etc. This trip is designed to get you on some cool water nearby, hone in your fly fishing abilities, and maybe even catch a few different species of fish.
Lets go have some fun doing some good ol’ fashioned City Fishin! We mainly target fish with a fly rod but you are welcome to use conventional fishing gear if you’d really like. We will be walking and wading sections on the Mississippi River, Minnehaha Creek, Metro Area Lakes, and other secret city fishing spots. You can expect a day full of fun chasing smallmouth and largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, carp, buffalo, sheephead, white bass, quill back, pike, walleye, and more! Fly casting instruction, rods, reels, and gear is all included.
Rates:
3 hour wade trip: $250 (+ $50 per extra person, 3 Person max)
5 hour wade trip: $350 (+ $50 per extra person, 3 Person max)
What do I need to bring with for the city fishing trip?
All anglers ages 16 and over will need to purchase a Minnesota Fishing License for the day/days that they plan to fish. All fishing gear is provided. Plan accordingly for weather, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, light coat, rain jackets, long sleeve sun shirts, shorts, pants, hat, and proper footwear are all a good idea to bring with. We will supply waders, just let us know what size waders/boots you will need.
Note:
PLEASE READ: Deposit of $100 is required to secure dates. Deposit is completely refundable if cancellation is made at least 2 weeks prior to trip or can be applied to future dates (i.e. life happens, we can always reschedule). Weather related cancellation is completely refundable, at the discretion of the Guide. Deposit is due at the time of booking, the remainder trip fee is due the day of the trip.
